I was craving for some maki and he wanted buffet, so where better else to go than the good ol’ trusty YakiMix. It was kind of frustrating though because the one in Tomas Morato where we usually go is under maintenance, so we had to go to Trinoma to have our YakiMix fix. It was a payday weekend, plus it was Fathers’ Day, so what else did we expect in a buffet place inside a mall? Oh yeah, a long wait. And when I say long, I mean looooooooong. We didn’t make any reservations, so we went there and waited for around one and a half hours to get seated (that’s not a typo, by the way).
We arrived a little past 7pm and got seated at 8:30. It wasn’t really surprising that the place was packed and that people including us were willing to wait because, well yeah I want my maki fix, I got to have that!
If there’s one thing that we really bond over with, it’s food. He likes cooking, I enjoy baking, and we both love eating! Also, it’s kind of a treat for him since he’s been swamped all week with work and he deserves a little more than our usual home cooking sesh.
But the highlight of everything, of course, is my handsome surfer date.
