We woke up early to walk along the beach and see the mangroves at the other end of the shore, which was about 2 km according to Sir Randy. It was a good morning. When we got back to the resort, our breakfast was all ready. It was a really good morning.
After breakfast, we played some darts and had a chit chat with Sir Randy’s daughters. They were really cute and smart!! They even invited us over at their house to see their Christmas lights and watch TV. Haha. Pumalaot din kami at nanghuli ng kulapo. Hahaha! So cute!
We didn’t have anything planned for that day, we just wanted to lounge around and enjoy the resort. However, there’s a very small island (or islet, if you may) called Bubog, near the resort and we decided to go there with 2 other guests from the resort. FYI, the beach in front of the resort is not very swimmable, there were lots of kulapo on the shore, and the sand is a little muddy-sticky so it’s a struggle to walk through the water. It was a good thing we decided to go to Bubog Island because it has more swimmable waters. It was a little rocky and coral-ly but the waters are clear and it was lovely on its own. We lounged in the island for several hours.
We were picked up by our bangkero to bring us back to the resort and we had several hours to kill before dinner time, just resting on the hammock under a huge tree, watching the beach, enjoying the cricket sounds, and just enjoying our idle time together talking about random stuff. It was definitely a lovely day.
We freshened up and got ready for dinner. Sir Randy lit up a bonfire on the shore and we lounged around it with some other guests while waiting for our dinner. After dinner, it was time to rest on our hut. It was our last night in Tapik and we’re scheduled to go back to the town before 6AM the next day.
