If you know why this blog series is called Smitten v2.0, then you were probably at the same room where Dan and I met. Only a few people know how everything happened. I guess I have to write a separate *detailed* story of how we got together, just to put it out there at once. To make things short, we met at an event called Smitten, and that’s exactly what happened to us.
So fast forward to 1017 days after that fateful Smitten night, we got married. November 29, 2015 was the date — it was the perfect day to marry that one person who’s been sweeping me off my feet since day one. It was the perfect day to begin our life together.
It was 2am of November 29, I woke up to the sound of heavy rains outside. We were having an outdoor poolside reception, so we do not have any room for the possibility of rain. I tried to take a rest and just prayed that the sun would come up in the morning. It was before past 6am and the rain was still mad. Our preparation and reception venue was basically at the foot of a rainforest, so when it rains there, it literally pours. My sisters and I kept checking the weather updates and it said that it’ll be sunny by 7am, and then 8am, and then finally, the sun came out at 9am. I was relieved, and I know Dan was too. At least the rain was no longer one of our worries that day
From the time I was prepped, I believe most, if not everything, about our wedding went pretty smooth. That day, I didn’t want to worry about anything as I wanted to just focus on myself, Dan, and our union. Safe to say I did just that.
Enjoy the photos! Note: Most are edited photos unless tagged raw.
So that’s basically how the pre-ceremony went. Everyone was excited, but everyone was also very busy. At this point I still wasn’t realising how huge this leap is for me. I was excited, of course, but I was still very calm although a bit emotional.
